About Sam

My name is Sam Wilson – a third generation Joiner following in the footsteps of my father and grandfather. I am time served and studied at Salford building college to become NVQ Level 1,2 & 3 site joiner Qualified, as well as a valid CSCS Gold card holder.

I started out working for a small bespoke joinery firm in Altrincham, installing everything from handmade hardwood bay windows to solid oak arched entrance frames. Having learnt a lot from the wood machinists, I went on to make my own doors and windows for various jobs and after 7 years with the company became self-employed and formed S Wilson Joinery.

I am very sporting and like to keep myself active, be it going to the gym or training at my local boxing club. I’m also a loving pet owner and Nanook, my Siberian husky, requires plenty of walking so I need to keep active!

My main interest though is woodwork. This is something I am very passionate about and it is not a cliche to say I have the perfect job.
I am always looking into and researching Joinery to ensure I’m up to speed with all the latest materials, tools and methods of work. You can never stop learning in this profession and quite simply that’s what excites me the most.
